"My 80th Brithday was celebrated with a -'Champagne Afternoon Tea'- It was so very well catered for in a caring and courteous manner. The food and service left nothing to be desired! My guests and I congratulate the Castle Tea Room run by Mr Richard Davies and staff." Pat (Ludlow)

"I have to say - I've become obsessed with Coronation chicken sarnies after having sampled the Ludlow Food Festival Best Sandwich winner at the Castle Tea Room. Pret a Manger have sadly not been doing their version for a while now, despite much nagging, and it is fairly good attempt. Marks and Sparks have recentlyish introduced one, which is okay. But nothing comes close to the juicyness and taste of yours! I may have to ask for the secret recipe - or else you could launch a sandwich line for take-aways!" Andrea (London)

"Ludlow Castle, with its famous history brings 21st century dining to rival the best eating houses the area offers in its 1086 restaurant. You can choose the main restaurant or a private dining room. Having used the latter on a number of occasions, our party has always experienced an interesting and varied menu, beautifully cooked and presented. The staff are anxious to please and succeed at every level. There is no rush between courses, and the excellent house wine does not dig deep into your pocket! A dining experience not to miss." The Hern Family (Lyonshall)

"With guests from Scotland, Wales and London as well as a goodly number 'Local to Ludlow' arriving for your Big Birthday party you want it to be good. And it was!! In every respect, from the champagne on the terrace in the July sunshine, right through to the cake and coffee, with a superb buffet and puddings in between. We filled the two rooms of the Restaurant to capacity, as planned, and everything was just right. Plus, of course, the venue is a gem.Thank you so much, Richard and the team." Jen & family and friends (Warwickshire)

"Congratulations on your delightful Tea Room& Restaurant. Its unrivalled setting in Ludlow gives a choice of seating areas, outside in the castle grounds, in the beautifully restored rooms or under the courtyard canopy. The surroundings are elegantly complimented by smiling individual attention, pristine starched napkins and the menu offered, from coffee through to an evening meal which together establish a quality dining experience. My food, taken during the daytime, evening and at a special function has always been enjoyed from the delicious selection of in house prepared scones & cakes to the changing evening menu and tasty special buffet lunch. A very satisfied customer, I shall return regulary." Daphne (Ludlow) |
