Richard Davies, proprietor of Castle Tea Room, has 18 years experience in the catering trade. Richard trained in patisserie and confectionery at the Birmingham College of Food, working in 5 star hotels, quality restaurants and bars.

A great opportunity arose to create Castle Tea Room in the autum of 2005. Twelve months of planning was needed to source high quality fixtures and fittings as well as local suppliers of quality food and drink.

My Vision

Castle Tea Room aim to provide the highest quality of traditional English food and drinks.

Wherever possible sourcing all our products and ingredients locally, making the most of seasonal market produce. Herbs and flowers to be supplied by our own garden. Home-made food and professional warm welcoming service of the highest standard are of the upmost importance to me.

With unrivaled views of the castle and its tranquil atmosphere a truly unique dining experience is assured.
